The 2015 Art on R Mountain is coming April 4th
from 9am to 5pm in the Ruffner Mountain Nature Center lot.
This will be the 5th anniversary of this unique art show and we are expecting this to be our biggest show yet!
We are now taking applications for artists for this show. Prospectus and application can be downloaded below.
Local corporations and civic groups that contributed to make Art on R Mountain possible include: Regions Bank, Burr & Forman, Ruffner Mountain Nature Preserve, Rare Transportation, Homewood Gourmet, Coca Cola Bottling Company United, Express Oil Change, Burch Corporation, Alabama Art Supply, the South East Lake Neighborhood Association, the East Lake Neighborhood Association, and the Honorable Kim Rafferty, City Councilor, District 2. Also, a host of individuals, too many to name, gave not only financially, but volunteered to work and made this show a success.
The East Lake Arts District, a neighborhood 501(c)(3) organization, uses the visual and performing arts as a means of promoting revitalization and a renewed awareness for the East Lake community, enhancing quality of life and celebrating the cultural diversity of the residents of East Lake.
